The Information We Collect:

For non-sponsoring visitors, we collect only the domain name but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web page, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as personal sponsor information, survey information and/or site registrations and e-mail addresses of opt-in subscribers. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page, to notify consumers about updates to our website, and is used by us to contact potential and current sponsors for Childhelp marketing purposes. This information is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

On some pages, donors may make special contributions, make inquiries regarding your contributions, or register to receive materials. The types of personal information collected at these pages may include some or all of the following:

How We Use Information:

We use the information you provide about yourself to complete that specific request. We may also use the information you submit to provide you with additional information about our sponsorship program or other programs we have to offer.

We use e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail that we receive. Childhelp does not rent, sell or exchange our mailing lists nor any information submitted through this website. We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.

We also give visitors to our site the opportunity to make a donation to Childhelp in someone else’s name. We will ask you for the name of the person for whom you are making a donation and an address where a gift card will be sent. This information will be deleted after the acknowledgment for the donation has been sent.

With respect to cookies: we use cookies to record session information, such as sponsorship transactions, in a secure manner. A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. Some Childhelp pages use cookies so that we can better serve you when you return to our site. For State of Florida residents:

A copy of the official registration and financial information may be obtained from the division of consumer services by calling toll-free (800-435-7352) within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the state.

How to Access to Review and/or Correct Your Information:

Upon request we provide site visitors (those who give gifts and those who simply request free information) with access to all information that we maintain about them, financial information (e.g., credit card account information) that we maintain about them, unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g., dates on which customers made contributions or sponsored children, amounts and types of contributions) that we maintain about them, and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them. Upon request we offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact information, financial information, unique identifiers or transaction information. By notifying us whenever you have a change to any of the information – e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, etc. – you will help us make prompt and efficient changes to your records. This helps us keep our administrative costs low and use more of the funds contributed to help children.
